Officials Training and Resources
Officials play an essential role in the delivery of safe, fair and successful ice racing competitions. Western Flames encourages all members, parents and supporters who are interested in becoming involved in officiating to take the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills.
Whether you are new to the sport or looking to build on your existing experience, training and education are available to help you understand the rules, responsibilities and procedures involved in officiating short track speed skating.
Members who have attended an officials course can refer to the course guidance materials for further information and ongoing reference.
ISU eRink – Online Learning
We strongly recommend that anyone interested in becoming an official creates an account on the International Skating Union's (ISU) eRink platform. This online learning system provides access to educational resources and training, and helps officials keep track of their learning and development progress.
Recording Your Training and Progress
Further information will be provided to course participants regarding setting up access to the officials database. This will allow your training, education and development as an official to be recorded and monitored as you progress.
