Code of Conduct
At Western Flames Ice Racing Club, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone involved in our sport. Our club culture is built on the values of integrity, respect, excellence, sportsmanship, and community, ensuring that every member has the opportunity to learn, develop, compete, and thrive.
As a member of Western Flames Ice Racing Club, I agree to:
- Treat others with respect, courtesy, and fairness at all times.
- Promote a welcoming environment free from bullying, harassment, discrimination, or abuse.
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship and positive behaviour both on and off the ice.
- Follow all competition rules, safety requirements, and directions from officials, event organisers, coaches, and the Club Executive.
- Engage respectfully with coaches, volunteers, officials, and club representatives at all times.
- Support the development, inclusion, and wellbeing of athletes of all ages and abilities.
- Act honestly, responsibly, and in a manner that reflects positively on Western Flames Ice Racing Club and Australian Ice Racing.
- Respect club facilities, equipment, shared spaces, and the wider skating community.
- Contribute to the safe setup, handling, and pack down of mats and other safety equipment when required.
- Prioritise safety and encourage responsible behaviour during training, competition, travel, and club activities.
Western Flames Ice Racing Club has zero tolerance for behaviour that compromises the safety, wellbeing, or dignity of others, or that brings the club or the sport into disrepute. Breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action in accordance with club, state, and national policies.
By participating in Western Flames Ice Racing Club activities, members agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a positive club culture where respect, safety, enjoyment, and excellence are at the heart of everything we do.
