Western Australian Ice Racing is excited to launch our Girls on Ice Camp, proudly supported through the Game On, Girls Grant Program from the Western Australian Government's Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport.
Designed specifically for girls aged 13–17 years, this exciting development camp provides a fun, supportive and inclusive environment where participants can build confidence, develop new skills and connect with other girls through sport.
The camp includes:
⛸️ Three 1.5-hour on-ice sessions
Introduction to speed skating fundamentals
Skating skills, technique and confidence development
Fun games, challenges and team activities
Opportunities to experience the excitement of ice racing
💪 Two 1.5-hour off-ice sessions
Movement skills and athletic development
Balance, agility and coordination activities
Team-building and leadership exercises
Education on goal setting, resilience and confidence in sport
Whether participants are stepping onto the ice for the first time or looking to further develop their skating skills, the Girls on Ice Camp aims to inspire girls to be active, challenge themselves and discover a lifelong passion for sport.
Western Australian Ice Racing gratefully acknowledges the support of the Western Australian Government through the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport's Game On, Girls Grant Program, whose funding has made this initiative possible. Their investment helps create opportunities for more girls to participate, develop skills, build friendships and thrive in a positive sporting environment.
