GIRLS ON ICE CAMP
Western Australian Ice Racing is excited to launch our Girls on Ice Camp, proudly supported through the Game On, Girls Grant Program from the Western Australian Government's Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport.
Designed for teenage girls, but welcoming female skaters of all ages, this exciting development camp provides a fun, supportive and inclusive environment where participants can build confidence, develop new skills and connect with other girls through sport.

-Skating without holding barriers
-Able to propel yourself forward
📅 Dates and Times:
Saturday 12/12/26:
Ballet Room 3:30-4:30pm,
Ice Time (#1) 5-6:30pm
Sunday 13/12/26:
Warm up 6:30-7am
Ice Time (#2) 7:15-8:45am,
Ballet Room 9:15-10:15am
Ice Time (#3) 6:30-8pm (arrive at 6pm)
The camp includes:
⛸️ Three 1.5-hour on-ice sessions - over Saturday 12/12/2026 and Sunday 13/12/2026
- Introduction to speed skating fundamentals
- Skating skills, technique and confidence development
- Fun games, challenges and team activities
- Opportunities to experience the excitement of ice racing
💪 Two 1 hour off-ice sessions
- Movement skills and athletic development
- Balance, agility and coordination activities
- Team-building and leadership exercises
- Education on goal setting, resilience and confidence in sport
This camp is designed for girls with basic skating ability who are looking to further develop their skills or experience a new skating discipline. The Girls on Ice Camp aims to inspire girls to be active, build confidence, challenge themselves, and discover a lifelong passion for skating and sport in a fun and supportive environment.
