Welcome Our Newest Level 1 Coach – William Hunt

Western Flames is proud to congratulate William Hunt on achieving his Level 1 Coaching Accreditation.

Will has been a valued member of our club for the past eight years, making an outstanding contribution both on and off the ice. From designing our race suits to competing as a member of the 2024 and 2025 Australian Open Short Track Senior Men's Relay Championship-winning team, his dedication to the club has been exceptional.

Although Will is currently based in Melbourne to further his skating career, he remains an important part of the Western Flames family, and we are delighted to celebrate this latest achievement.

Will's coaching accreditation marks the final legacy of our PlayWell Grant, which has helped remove barriers to participation while strengthening the coaching pathway for short track speed skating in Western Australia.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Scott Weekes, whose guidance and support made this coaching opportunity possible.
