Australian Ice Racing High Performance Camp

From 2–6 July 2026, four Western Flames athletes attended the Australian Ice Racing High Performance Camp at O'Brien Icehouse. The camp was led by National Coaches Deanna Lockett and Scott Weekes and brought together athletes from across Australia for five days of intensive training.

The program focused on developing key performance skills, including technique, speed, track patterns, and agility, with athletes participating in a range of on- and off-ice sessions designed to enhance their racing performance.

Congratulations to our Western Flames representatives—Will Hunt, Alex Myint, Josh Seah, and Rachel Tan—for their commitment and dedication throughout the camp. Opportunities such as these are invaluable in supporting athlete development and preparing skaters for future national and international competition.

We are proud of their efforts and look forward to seeing them apply what they have learned throughout the season.
