The Australian Ice Racing High Performance Camp continues to play a vital role in the development of Australia's emerging and elite short track athletes. Bringing together skaters, coaches, and support staff from across the country, the camp provides a unique opportunity for athletes to train in a high-performance environment while learning from some of the sport's most experienced coaches and mentors.
Held at O'brien Icehouse in Melbourne, the camp focuses on technical skill development, race tactics, physical preparation, and athlete education, helping participants build the foundations required for success at national and international levels. Just as importantly, it provides athletes with the chance to connect with fellow skaters from around Australia, strengthening the sense of community within the sport.
For Western Australian athletes, the High Performance Camp offers valuable exposure to higher-level training and competition standards, supporting their progression along the Australian Ice Racing athlete pathway. The experience gained through the camp helps athletes develop confidence, resilience, and the skills needed to pursue their personal performance goals.
We congratulate all athletes selected to attend and thank the coaches, volunteers, and Australian Ice Racing staff who make this important development opportunity possible.
