Chris Nicholson delivered an exceptional performance, taking first place overall in the Masters division. Andrew Saunders also topped his category, winning the Masters 45–49 age group.
Determination and consistency across multiple races, saw Rachel Tan claim second place in the Junior C Women’s division.
Newcomer Kalvin Heinz impressed with third place in the Senior Men’s division at his first Nationals, smashing his personal bests by several seconds after only weeks in the sport. Congratulations to all skaters who achieved personal bests — a reflection of hard work and steady progress.
Ahead of the competition, skaters took part in a three-day Development Camp led by Scott Weekes, focusing on technical skills and race strategy. The camp left athletes more confident and better prepared for competition.
